I don't enjoy challenges; but wish I did!

The fear of failure, stops me from enjoying a "good" challenge, as I often read. I rather it all went smoothly and yet, when I do solve a problem, it makes me feel really good.

Just do them when nobody is looking. ;)
  1. I have no qualms about giving up if it seems to be taking too much time and I don't seem to be getting anywhere. I chalk that up to the law of diminishing returns.
  2. Other times, the solution unfolds as I walk through its logical first steps. (I can't tell the difference between #1 & #2, until I try.)
  3. Still other times, someone will explain the first solution to me and I will look at similar problems differently going forward.

One thing I consider is am I doing it to feed panic say if I'm excited, excitement is part of panic

I tend to have a fear of failure, it does hold me back sometimes from trying new things because I don't want to show failure to others, let alone myself... I know it's not right, but the idea is stuck in my head...

Being public about it? Do you know how many times I was challenged for the (if you haven't heard of it before) 7 day B&W photo challenge? Several times, and I ignored it every time, because the parameters of the challenge didn't fit my photography style, and I tend to take most of my photos within fairly narrow genres, maybe it's too much of a comfort zone... o_O

i love challenges that i choose to do, and set my own benchmark for success
my challenge get never involve other people or competition,
i hate challenges that are imposed,
especially if someone is trying to package a ****** task as a 'challenge'

I like mental game challenges that test mind and problem solving. Riddles. Chess and so forth.
Anything that requires solving a challenge with your mind.
There are a lot of these problem solver games on the internet that I sometimes play.
