I am happy and thankful

I am happy and thankful to have a aspergers centre, as I enjoy using the free help, advice, computers and kitchen, but there are times I feel overwhelmed and I think it's fair that I do. For hours on end sometimes (around 6 hours sometimes, the drop-ins are sometimes from 10am to 8pm) there are people all around me talking to me, asking me questions, asking about what I am doing etc. I don't mind conversing in moderation! I feel I shouldn't have to leave as I am doing nothing wrong, so I say politely 'sorry' I am busy. Even then though I have to wear a hooded top, even if it's very warm, (due to the heating being on full in winter) so I can put my hood up, even then some people still overwhelm me. Some people say I am here a lot too but I don't understand why, as I am doing nothing wrong if I am using the majority of the drop-in times!

It should have a sign saying conversing with others is not mandatory and will be reported. lol

I wish my gym had little buttons showing do not try to initiate a conversation, then a button for those who are there to talk, etc.

I think they probably say it just as something to say for starting a conversation with you, that they are not criticizing you.

Wish there were places like that here.
I hope the idea catches on in a lot more places.

I understand people are sometimes not meaning to overwhelm others. Sometimes people come in with colds, unless they have an important appointment I would say best not to come in, as colds can be spread. Sometimes with a cold too some people will be really close to you speaking without realizing probably I know.
