I am a procrastinator.

It is like this - I know I will feel so much better if I pick up my living room at the end of the day, wash the dishes, do the laundry, pull the weeds, but I often find myself playing Mahjong against AI opponents instead.

Only I can stop procrastinating. Damn it, I will start right now with the dishes in my sink. If I have a tidy castle, the gaming will be guilt free for a change.

Procrastination is a hard nut to crack, when you live it. The "I'll do this later" mentality is a slippery slope, when you lean too much on this mindset. Thing pile up to a point that they cannot be ignored.

Acting on things you know you should do, is more rewarding. You then have time for other things, like you said.

If it helps. You can treat videogames as a reward for getting your important tasks done. Though there are people who become inclined into doing the job half way, just so they can get to what they really want to do faster. That's a trap that gets people in trouble alot. Especially if they make it a habit.

So really, it's up to you either way, what you really want to do.

I procrastinate.

Living by myself has reduced and enhanced my procrastination. The latter because there is no one to see that it wasn’t done. The former because it is crystal clear I’m the only one to do it.

I have major "pathological demand avoidance" I don't even really question it or push it anymore.
Only a certain medicinal mushroom has helped me with that, but I only had it twice.

I am going to do a major house cleaning when I get home from work today. Before I turn on my TV and my Xbox, I will clean the bathroom, living room and kitchen. I will also finish pulling the weeds in my yard. If I put my mind to it, all of this will take less than two hours since my house is quite tiny.
