Hyper aggressive after workout

For the life of me I can't understand why I get so hyper aggressive after a long bike ride. Today I got home and was bouncing off the wall and could not slow down. I went off on a sheriff soliciting over the phone and completely lost it in about 1 second. Does this happen to anyone else or is this just me?

Not sure but could it be some sort of chemical released in the brain? I have heard something like that before with exercise. I have experienced in the past something like a 'high' after certain physical activities. Different individuals have very varying response to chemicals/medications.

It could be the after effects of low blood sugar from adrenaline burning it up during your workout. I have a little trouble with low blood sugar and have become very aggressive when hungry.

I feel sorry for the poor schlub you went off on tho...The sheriff's department that asks for money will hire a call center to use their agents when they resort to being beggars :p

Nitro, most of the phone solicitations supposedly for the police are done by 3rd party associations & very little if any of the money collected is forwarded to any real police dept. IMO they are a PIA. :)

I think you misread my post :D I fully understand how it works. When I was in business I donated often to most of who called and asked for money. The running rate for phone solicitation when I paid any donation was a standard collection agency fee,but I was able to write off the money donated towards my income tax,so it was like getting a third of what I donated back in the general fund in the end. It's all a game ;)

I did misread it, thanks! :) I do understand though about the tax deduction. I personally like to donate to organizations I know are using the donated monies in an efficient & effective way, while I also get a charitable tax deduction. I always donate to a few select local animal rescue groups & a spay/neuter clinic which are all 100% volunteer staffed (including the vets) & every cent goes directly to tangibly helping animals. I just made a donation yesterday to the clinic as a matter of fact.:dogface::rolleyes:

This is totally off the subject, but Nitro, how do you know it's the actual police dept people calling you and not some idiot wanting your charge number to clean out your accounts?

Back to the thread. I'm with Nitro. I do know that after I exercise I'm tired and sweaty and sometimes hungry and just want to be left alone to get cleaned up. Any phone solicitors are not welcomed and that's why I never answer the phone. One time the electricity was out and I got a call thinking it was my Ma or my friend Mary and it ended up being the solicitors for the police you speak of. I was so mad that I finally hung up on him. I wasn't about to give any numbers out over the phone and the freaking electricity was off and I thought someone really needed to get a hold of me! If I want to make a donation, I will call you!

It sounds as though you, like me, feel incredibly energized after a good exercise routine. The best analogy I can draw is from my own experiences with bipolar disorder, in that this "energy," be it from the emotional cycling or medication induced, can take one of two forms - elation and euphoria, or extreme irritability and even rage...I've felt both in my Adventures in Madness. With exercise, I experience the former, while it sounds like you experience the latter. Do you have any cool-down routines for when you are done? I like to meditate, have a nice cool glass of water, stuff like that. Something relaxing to slow your mind down.

I get a name,an address and send a check...only a fool would give out credit information...I kept track of the checks and my accountant processed my taxes

Joe Shmo cannot cash a check made out to an organization that is given an official title and with a small amount of research, you can tell who is legitimate ;)

Just had a pacer test at my high school, having not exercised for years ran the max. got dizzy after, heart and head started pumping, my
left hemisphere which was smaller than my right by far started getting bigger, everything i saw was bigger. On the way home i noticed i have 3D vision, things got darker and my huge Peripheral vision was gone. :< is possible, or a stroke gone good.

Wyverary, I do cool down after my ride, but come to think of it I did push hard that day because. I scared my wife with my last blow out. Thanks folks for the replies. I will talk it over with my Dr next week. Starting a journal was a great idea cause it helps me see my patterns.

After my workout in the mornings, I do feel pretty perky and energetic. Not bouncing off the walls or aggressive. Well, aggressive hasn't been fully tested. Considering my love of phone calls, I'd probably rip somebody a new one if I get called at 7AM. At that hour, somebody had better be dead or dying or they will be.

I used to have it years ago. That's why I stopped working out. I have no idea why it happened. I was able to start working out last year. I go to the gym 2-3 times a week and exercise makes me feel better now. It helps with stress.
I remember I heard somewhere that some people with Autism have problems with how Adrenaline is released. Maybe you can look into it. And also maybe you should try different types of exercise and try to find what makes you feel better not worse. Maybe lifting weights is more suitable type of exercise for you.

Humans are funny. Dogs calm down after exercise but when they don't get exercise, they have pent up energy and are bouncing off the walls. Humans are funny.
