If you saw my profile post this morning, you know the day didn't start out too well. Afterwards, I was able to get Mama to laugh several times. My Mama and I went to get hay for the horses and after loading it up, I got some hay in my mouth and spit it out. She asked me what was wrong and I responded with " Hay is for horses ••• and from that sample they can keep it!😃" Later at the pasture, the fence was down in several places again. After we completed one of the repairs, I gestured towards the wire which was reflecting a lot of sunlight and said "It's shiny isn't it?" She was like "Yes." I was like, "See!😃 There's at least one silver lining in this situation!😏🤣" There have been some other things as well, but those lines were my favorites and the one about the silver lining had her laughing the most. I also got to demonstrate my cane balancing/twirling routine intentionally and made up some silly songs. There really are ways to turn bad days into good ones. Just look for those silver linings.😉

I am glad that you are doing well.

I have noticed that life is always a mix of good stuff and bad. It seems like a missed opportunity if one's good times are constantly ruined because the bad times keep contaminating them.

"If a problem is fixable, if a situation is such that you can do something about it, then there is no need to worry. If it's not fixable, then there is no help in worrying. There is no benefit in worrying whatsoever." Dalai Lama

I'm not a Buddhist, but the quote sounds like a good attitude.
LOL - If you prefer, you can attribute it to Alfred E. Newman:

Nice, what horse do you have?

How beautiful, my mom's had horses on farm when we were young, she had this white horse and mine was brown mare, when colt was born he was a chestnut.
But really cute but not my choice of horse, I always found white horses kind of timid, mostly ponnies. Despite loving Shetlands as child, I was too big to ride one so it's really that as I grew up I always wanted to take black stallion out and we started doing small jumps, and always given a no.
Think the mare, my brown one was my best horse, fast enough but still manageable, not too fast.

I was looking at author of black beauty and odd but she wasn't a brunette. But I still prefer black horses for carriages, think it just looks smarter. Of all seriously big heavy duty breeds of horse, it's forgotten and replaced with ox, ox to pull the plough.

Well, in Christianity, if is not fixable, maybe God can fix it because he has the 'muscles' to do anything.

@NB79 God can fix any situation.
Put Your Trust (In The Hands Of Jesus), Chris Christian (1983)
Lyrics:
Oh-oh-oh...

Sometimes He calms the storm
Sometimes He calms His child
He may take away the burden
Or my leave them for a while
He knows before we ask Him
What is best for us
It matters not what we've got
If He has our trust

Put your trust in the hands of Jesus
It’s a must if He's gonna use us

He may answer with a miracle
Or may give us a chance to learn
Either way that He answers us
We know we are His first concern
'Cause еverything that happens
We know is for our bеst
We have no room for worry
If we don’t forget

To put our trust in the hands of Jesus
It's a must if He's gonna use us

Like a Father who waits for His children
Every night to come home
He keeps a watch 'til the final hour
Forgiving us when we've done wrong

Put your trust in the hands of Jesus
It's a must if He's gonna use us
Put your faith in a prayer before Him
He's promised us He will not ignore them

Oh, yeah
