How do you get a 6 year old boy with aspergers to wear glasses?

I am looking for advice on how to get a 6 yr old on the spectrum to wear glasses. He is freaking out. I am not on the spectrum, so i can't really relate to how it might feel for him.

Weird. I got my first pair of glasses at 7 and there was no problem except that I worried that my second pair at age 11 was ugly. (Nothing to worry about, as it turned out.)

Maybe tell him the alternatives. I won't wear contacts because I'm not a fan of jabbing myself in the eye regularly. I won't get laser surgery because it's expensive. And yet I still want to see.

First off I am legally blind and have been wearing glasses since the age of 2yrs old. I would maybe just take him to a small none crowded eye glasses place so he can people wearing them and not freaking out. Maybe suggest he try a few on but at his own pace. Just for fun like a game maybe you try them on too showing him that there is nothing to be afraid of. I have these great glasses (you can laugh my head is small so wear kids glasses) but there is this brand of kids glasses that I love. They have what is called turboflex and they bend and shape directly to your head so you don't feel them. he might like that.

I have also been wearing glasses since I was 2. I don't remember being 2 but I don't think I had much problem wearing glasses becouse it was the onlly way I could see. My Mom said when I wore my first pair of glasses home from the eye doctor I looked out the window and said "the trees have leaves". So anyway I just needed to wear them to see. My two sons staarted wearing glasses at age 18 months. I always had a hard time keeping glasses on them. I guess them being boys or whatever. There glasses would end up hear or there , mabey end up finding them in the toy box. They never did freak out or anything like that. I don't know what that is about. He must have a reason for that. Can he tell you what the problem is?
