How did you find Christianity?

Hey there. I think I'm having a sort of (positive) faith crisis, where I realize that the semi-atheist beliefs I used to hold don't really add up anymore. After finding sobriety and through so many other positive life-changing events, I'm starting to yearn for spirituality, deep connection, and things that haven't always been there in my life -- but certainly are now. I think I'm starting to believe in the idea of a god, or a divine source, as I've come to understand it -- and I want to celebrate this phenomenon with others, and deepen my faith in whatever this is, but I don't know where to begin.

So I guess the biggest question is this - how did you start looking for deeper meaning?
And, as an aside, how did you settle on your denomination of choice?

I never would've imagined this, but it feels like some kind of spiritual growth is taking place inside of me for the very first time, and I really want to embrace this feeling of gratitude I have, preferably learning more about it, learning how other people define worship, and how I can maybe find a spiritual community with similar ideals and goals as me. I'm also not always the best at being social, so I really want to practice social skills, enjoying positive interactions with people and just sharing some kind of positive meaning with others. I'd also like to learn how to be more compassionate toward myself and others, more forgiving of people, and things like that.

Any extra advice would be extremely appreciated, too. This post feels so cheesy, but it's getting harder to just ignore the divine, if that makes any sense. Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to help me on my spiritual quest!
