How can you confidently determine if you have ASD?

I feel such a longing that I can't even pinpoint the reason for my state. Unable to make sense of this feeling of despondency, I don't understand why it is so difficult for me to build relationships with other people.
This 'may' be your strength.

...So, know that whatever your expectations, it could be determined that you deal with something(s) altogether different. Go in with an open mind, and go in with the goal that no matter what, you are just wanting to become the better / best version of you, while also learning about the real you. You will learn processes from them but also your own as you progress forward with it all.
Around here, the autism-incompetent counselors do not recognize ASD1 and will give any other diagnosis, instead.

An autism-competent counselor will only give an ASD1 diagnosis if it fits.

"Neuro-divergence" does not apply to malfunctioning neurologies.
It applies to viable neurologies that are unconventional.

Neurological malfunctions on-top-of autism are called co-morbid conditions.

See Autism Subtypes...
I thought neurodiversity was necessarily associated with different disorders, like ADHD or OCD. Personally, autism is the one that fits me the best. I even asked ChatGPT and described my problems and he suggested that I have either an anxiety disorder or RAS.

I would focus on what real humans have to say now that you are wondering.

Have you read many of the other threads here on the forums?

You may benefit from investigating for yourself over being told a definite answer by someone else.

Some disorders are illnesses. Those we call "neuro-diversity" are, primarily, just differences.

The latter includes:
  • left-handedness & natural ambidexterity,
  • intellectual giftedness,
  • ASD1 (autism w/o severe co-morbids),
  • ADHD, and
  • some would include dyslexia.

Yeah, I watched a few of their videos on the subject, but I didn't quite recognize myself in them. Most of them had speech problems and were kind of antipathetic to me.

I know a way how you can tell if you are autistic. Have an autism assessment.

(Sorry. My humour).

Probably a good idea to learn more about autism as autism effects one person in different ways to the next, so to pick up on one trait one may not share with another in itself does not show that one has autism or does not have it.

There are online tests to give a very rough idea that one might be or might mot be autistic. These are not in themselves anywhere near the same as a diagnosis, but if one just wants a rough idea if one could be autistic or not, these tests are a very rough indication of the possibility if that makes sense?

I took these tests and wrote above what results I got. My interpretation is that I am somewhere on the borderline of autism.

Informally, that is known as ASD0.5 or...
...Half-Aspergers!
full

Man, I can't be an asperger, I don't have the same high intelligence as geniuses like Ilon Musk
You don't have to be a genius just average intelligence or higher. Either way, that is not technically a separate diagnosis now.

Gifted intelligence & autism are two separate conditions. You can be one without the other. (Having both is called Twice Exceptional, abbreviated 2e.)

I had a result like that, but when I came to the assessment I was deeper on the spectrum than I thought. When I tried the online thing I put "No" to some things I should have said "Yes" because ai dis not then understand some technical terms

I underwent testing, and the results showed that I have signs of autism at about 57%. I'll even attach a screenshot for clarity.

Then, in another test, it turned out that I have a moderate level of autism.

In yet another test, my autism quotient was 26.
Not sure if you can be partially autistic far as I can make out either you are or not.

Speech is probably affected too; it's hard to talk and all that?

Depends when and why. Am a little unsure of what you mean so I can elaborate on when speech is an issue with me. Is not normally an issue, though when younger I didn't speak much. As an adult, I can sometimes speak too much. I can get issues visiting doctors when I tried to ask for about two years if I was autistic and every time I tried I hit mind blank so had to speak about something else to free my mind up so I could talk.. Also in a full shutdown I don't talk but I can't make a noise, I can't move or see. I am in a floppy state on the floor if that happens! :D
