"How a Rubik's Cube saved my life"

A rather inspirational Tedx Talk about how cubing helped this guy persist against peoples wishes to do other things and also rise up against his issues with new situations; he also did a small documentary called "Why We Cube" and one of the few people he interviewed was an autisic cuber.

Documentary that's been mentioned as well for the curious; a little over 43 minutes long and starts off a bit loud; it's also just as inspirational:

All Rubik's Cube and puzzles in general do is make me frustrated. And I've had enough frustration as it is.
I have only one solution for Rubik's Cube. It's a little something called GrownupGirl's Hammer!:smilingimp:

*inserts Hammering Music from Donkey Kong as I smash the cube to pieces*

When Rubik's used to use stickers for their cubes, people'd just take off the stickers and restick them in the proper places. :P

I remember that. I was maybe 8 or 9 when the Rubiks Cube came out, and I remember people selling books on how to best solve it, and of course somebody sold replacement stickers so that you could "solve" the cube the easy way. :D:p I thought that the Rubiks Cube was just another fad that nobody cared to remember except a few people with cubes that would forever remain unsolved stashed away in a long forgotten box in a corner of the garage, until I started reading about speedcubing a few years ago. I was shocked that anybody still cared about Rubiks Cubes. I threw my own cube in the trash 20 years ago. It's nice to know that they solved the sticker thing. o_O
