Hope it's true : Aspie makes Top 10

I have a bit of a problem listening to vocoders - the effect makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up! I listened to your song though, and (apart from the vocoder) it's a lovely song. If you use the vocoder because you're not confident in your singing voice, I'd love to hear it sung by someone else - I personally think a female vocal would work wonderfully :)
Congrats on your top ten status anyway :sunglasses:

Thanks very much. It's more than a confidence issue. The Voloco app has a bit of delay, as you hear yourself singing live. There becomes some wiggle room, to choose words on the fly, and vocal time fluctuations to play with.

I got similar reviews from the Band-in-a- Box forum, preferring straight vocals. One guy in BIAB forum ask if he could take a crack at singing it. I said yes, since I was not happy reattempting to sing the song without a vocoder

Yeah, finding another singer is the best bet

If you have a PC or Mac then you might want to try Audacity. It's a free, open source sampling program with tons of online support. It has some incredibly useful built in effects and hundreds more you can plug in. You could take the sample from your phone, add the effects, then sync it with the music live, or multi-track it - whichever way you prefer to work. I've used it myself for some time and it's a very useful piece of software.
