History Channel

After about 48 years, what I learned then is now being discussed openly. The strange case of Rudolf Hess, who as Hitler's deputy flew to Scotland in 1941 in an attempt to negotiate with Great Britain an alliance against Soviet Russia.
This was part of the standard history curriculum when I was in high school.

I never took history past grade 10 maybe eleven concentrated on math and science, Knew most of history being taught was politically biased talking to my parents realized that, Brits had beef with dutch twisted history really bothered my mother,

This was part of the standard history curriculum when I was in high school.

Please explain in some detail.

There's nothing I see as "standard" in what amounts to something of a scandal at the highest levels of government. And I don't mean the one about Edward VIII, but about Rudolf Hess. After all, there's nothing new about Edward's complicity with the Third Reich or his attempt to gain power after the war.

You see, there are several aspects of this story, not any one simple explanation. And there are still some questions that may never be answered. And there has always been a difference between the narrative and explanation the British government provided long ago versus quite a different narrative that the government doesn't want known, let alone to be publicly discussed.

And yet, so many ignorant ppl refuse to acknowledge the existence of power groups behind the scenes influencing social policies.

Not surprising given the extent government may go to keep information from the people. But that's not my point in posting this information.
