Ah, I'm sorry your having trouble with getting a diagnosis because of change to the DSM manual :/ Welcome to the community and I think you'll like it here :)

Cheers mate I'm just a little agro with the mental health system and the lack of support for adults on the spectrum. This place will be a great help:)

Nice to meet you, and welcome :) I live in the U.S. and am having the same problem getting diagnosed, although here may not be for same reason.

Welcome :)

I'm also from Australia, living in Brisbane. I don't know where you're living, but have you looked up Minds and Hearts? Most people with AS living in Australia tend to travel far to receive a diagnoses here. It's run by Dr. Tony Attwood, who many here will agree is a leader in the field. He himself doesn't take new patients anymore, but he hand picks his own staff, to assist with the job. He has a clinic in West End in Brisbane, and in Petrie.

Minds & Hearts is a unique clinic with a focus on Asperger's Syndrome and autism
