Just want to say hi i have just joined would like to get to know people, im 33 from England and have high functioning autism, what about you? Xx

Welcome! This is a good place to offer opinions, ask questions, and simply hang out with other Aspies. I'm sure you will frequently find a thread to interest and enlighten you. I'm 71, didn't learn my "problems" were due to Asperger Syndrome until I was in my 60s--way too late in life to finally begin to understand oneself.
Nancy in the USA.

It's never too late to begin to understand yourself :)

Hi Connie.

I'm 30 and suspect I may be on the spectrum. I am currently on prolonged sick leave for a mental breakdown and seeking answers as to why.

That sounds familiar! I was off work for about 6 months with anxiety and one thing led to another and after a year or so I was diagnosed with HFA. The psychologist wasn't interested in seeking answers but I stuck with it and I got my answers in the end. Good luck to you.

Connor, hello and welcome. I'm pretty new here as well. I have found everyone very friendly and supportive. I'm sure you'll be made very welcome.

Thanks.

Right now I am perusing an ADD diagnosis as I am 99% certain I have it and it is something actionable.

I have much greater trepidation about my having Asperger's and don't know if a diagnosis would be in any way beneficial to me. Also; whenever I bring it up professionals tend to treat me like a precocious child who has been reading through their book case when she shouldn't.
