Hi everyone I'm a 32 yo gay male from the south love old movies I am a huge Bette Davis fan & music & shopping I haven't been diagnosed with autism or asperger's but strongly think I have asperger's just wanted to say hi and look forward to reading people's posts & stuff here. Thanks I am glad I found this place. I really think I have it based on what I read its like light bulbs going off it all clicks I always had social anxiety and ocd but as far as not being able to function and be on my own this explains a lot and my sensitivity to loud noises, light, and if things aren't my way and the way I set things up I get really upset.
 
Welcome! I've read a few of your posts & am glad you are working toward finding answers. You'll get there! Sometimes you have to find the right doctor who is trained in autism. Most docs don't even consider it - they go to the standards, like bipolar or depression & never even consider autism. I've been misdiagnosed most of my life! But at age 50 (can you believe that?), I finally found the right doc & got it right. It will help you once you know cuz things will become clear.

Hey, I read your other thread re working & consider doing what I did to compensate for my social issues - I've worked nightshift for over 20 years! It's a great shift for Aspies cuz it's quiet, no people, & you are mostly alone. The jobs are also abundant bc most don't want to work nights. Just an idea for you. :-)
