MY sister became a Geologist, worked in the field, then went back for a graduate degree in economics, in other words any thing that makes you unique, really worked out for her. Being an aspie makes you already unique, just make yourself more so. that's what I did.

In what way did it work out for your sister? Did she find a job in economics afterwards? And what did you do? There's unique and there's overqualified...

She is a risk administrator for a large international mining company, doing currency trading. for precious metals. She is much more qualified than any MBA.

I'm a chemical engineering technologist, specializing in application of coatings, paint. Most of my time was dealing with colour. Expert on treatment systems, various types of coatings. Know how to paint almost any thing, from plastic to every major substrate. Qualified as a Quality Engineer, with second diploma in coating's. Now retired. The trick is specializing not over qualifying yourself.
