Hi I am new to the forum new to all of this

I have a 4-year-old with autism diagnosed finally last Oct and 8 year old diagnosed with Aspergers and adhd about 1 month or so ago,In researching for my 8-year-old, I believe I have Aspergers as I fit many of the symptoms and I took also a bunch of online tests and all show I am def on the scale, This was shocking & devastating to me but made sense of my life for the first time

For today I just want to introduce myself, But I will post again soon as I am having some issues navigating this whole thing

Hi and welcome. I m sorry to hear that you feel devastated, you are still yourself despite this new information, having high autistic traits or Aspergers is just an aspect of being a person. There's upsides to this difference, and you may get to think that some of the best of who you are is due to your difference too? I know I do. I hope you enjoy it here and find plenty of useful information and ideas.

Hello :)

The realisation can come as a bit of a shock if you weren’t expecting it :)

This place is great for reading up on the perspectives of others, which may be similar to your own.
There’s nothing scarier than not knowing what to do and feeling alone in this.

Welcome to AF. :)
