hey

So I just joined this forum and was hoping to get some useful advice while we have a long wait for my daughter who just turned 8 to be assessed. I was fine for a while after the school had told me she should probably be tested for developmental disorders.

Lately though, I seem to be getting this anxiety and I have this rushed need to get her tested and get some answers so I and my husband can get educated and figure out how to help her cope going into 3rd grade whrn she starts to struggle. The tests are not till January 2015 and it seems so far off. I'm looking to share and hopefully get some insight of other moms going through the same thing I am.

Welcome! :) I see you've already posed some questions to us. We have parents on here (as well as a few teachers), so hopefully you'll get some useful and encouraging advice.
