My experience, as well. I wasn't a "failed neurotypical", I was just a typical person with an autism condition. Hindsight is 20/20. Can't do anything about the past... but now that you have a better idea of who you are, you can take certain things into better consideration, context, and perspective. I think I am a happier person now... diagnosed at 52... now approaching 59.Now, when I look back at my life, things make much more sense. It's kind of a relief.
