Hi I’m Heidi
I’m 17 years old and was diagnosed with autism 2ish years ago after it was picked up from being in therapy for anorexia. At the moment i’m struggling quite a bit with relationships in particular making friends and connecting with people is difficult. It’s not that I don’t have friends it’s just that they don’t understand me and it’s isolating. I work part time as a waitress and i’m interested in physics. It’s my dream to study physics at oxford. If anyone feels like we would make good friends please let me know :)

Welcome Heidi. I understand the difficulty in having friends who don't really get you. Hang around and you may find some ideas that suit you.

It's good you reached out, you can find so many things and understand so many things if you stick around and interact here, reading, writing has given me so much knowledge of what we are like and how we are different, that I wouldn't get from the definition or medical perspectives. Just stay away from dirty old men and you should be fine. 🌈

Hi Heidi, there are several physics nuts hang out here. I majored in physics at ANU (but that was over 40 years ago.) I hope you find this a friendly, understanding place.

HI I am one of the physics nuts on this forum, My biggest special interest is how does the universe work. Used to read books, articles, amateur with basic knowledge of relativity, special and general, quantum mechanics. familiar with most of the professional players past and current. Currently following, Brian Keating's, Kurt Jainmungals, and
Lex FrIdmans U tube videos interviewing various guests. I also follow Peter Woits blog, looking for insights. I would enjoy getting into discussions with other like minded people, I did start a thread on this forum with some of my thoughts, based on years of thinking of physics.
