Hello

Hey

Member
I think that I might be on the spectrum, not really sure which and how. I'm here because I want to connect with others who might understand me a bit.

I've always felt like I don't belong. It's a sad and lonely way to live. I am glad I have my family around.

My life has crashed in many ways, many times. Sometimes and often because of my own choices. But I'm determined to treat myself with love and care from now on, the thoughts about being good enough or the frustration of trying to be social with others and having to walk away for some alone time when they laugh to loud.. Is hard.
When the boss walks in and turns the light on and my body reacts with being stressed out..

I am 36 years old and very artistic
And very stressed out by life itself

You all write so nice presentations, I don't know if I do, but at least I'm here

Welcome @Hey. A lot of people go undiagnosed for a long time. I was 55 before I realized that I'm autistic, and it just clicked. Not an easy path, but life makes more sense, so a positive. Have you taken any online questionnaires on autism or related issues? Some of them can be pretty good, and might be helpful for you to think about. There are also some pretty good YouTube videos (that's what made it click for me at first).
.
There are a lot of friendly people here so feel free to lurk or join in.

Thank you for your answer. Yeah I have, they all point in the same direction and give me high scores on Autism. Do you think getting diagnosed helped you to understand yourself better in any way?

Hello Hey!

There’s no expectations for how people write and communicate here. Some people, like myself, can write very well some days and other days, the words just won’t appear in my brain. We all just figure out how we can best communicate with each other from moment to moment. Glad that you found us. Let us know if you need any help figuring out the forum.

It's amazing how well words flow from one day to the other, sometimes the world is not that cloudy and words flow like water does from the mountains in springtime. Plus I'm from Sweden, but I am fluent in English and sometimes English is way more beautiful than Swedish, easier to find the right words with it
Thank you for your answer
