It seems you have strong reactive empathy and the OCD is firing it up.
This makes a difficult obsession to control.
Relaxtion tapes, music and meditation help my obsessions more than anything I've found.
It takes persistance. The time you practice really letting go of the anxiety is like a natural
medicine for the mind and body.

I have one of the lowest EQ scores on here,but, I do have OCD and generalized anxiety.
So, I am always finding a way to calm my own inner demons.
It really can get better!

Maybe you should try breaking encryption puzzles...devise your own personal algorithm? I enjoy doing that. Maybe data science?
