Hello

Hi & Welcome,
Most employers list jobs now online on job sites and usually also have web sites that might have a 'employment oportunities' tab. So looking is fairly easy, though landing a job is another story. Patience and persistance can pay off however.
It's funny, because I was always taught that showing up in person to apply for a job showed initiative. Now that is changing. I have actually had people refuse to take my resume in person, insisting that I fax it instead. This is actually a problem for me as when I am unemployed I really need an excuse to get out or I become agoraphobic. At least it's less foot work.
