Hello to All,
I am a recent-in-life AS diagnosis person, at age 57. Seems there is AS in my family as well, as the whole thing explains so much about many of us. Big relief, and a bit more jarring than I expected to get the diagnosis - even though I had figured it out on my own a few years before.

Have only participated to any substantial extent in one other forum in this life. Generally, social communication is very confusing. But much less so with others on the spectrum. So, I am looking forward to getting to know this site and those here.

My interests include history, thinking, thinking about thinking, neuro-science for the lay-person, and doing big, grueling physical projects on my own. I also like writing, mostly non-fiction. Thanks for this site!

Hi, Nikkitabear, welcome to AC! You have a lot of company in the late-to-diagnosis department. "My interests include history, thinking, thinking about thinking, neuro-science for the lay-person..." awesome. I can think of several threads you'd probably enjoy, but I won't add "spoilers."

Have fun, and see you in threads.
