Hello, I got officialy diagnosed with AS a few months ago, but lacked internet access till recently. Since I really enjoy posting on forums dealing with my hobbies, my therapist suggested getting on a forum such as this to chat with others that share what I am living with. While only recently diagnosed, I have dealt with AS my whole live, was chalked up to just being ackward and painfully shy. Didnt date till my late 20's, dont do well with numbers/math, but can excell at fixing things, espicaly related to my hobbies of model trains, RC cars and antique garden tractors. I am employed, head technician at a local lawn and garden dealer. It works great for me and I really enjoy it. I dont have to work with customers constantly, but when I do its in relation to thier mowers issues and not just small talk, which I struggle with greatly. Both my adoptive father and younger sister, both employed in the Psychology field, missed the AS all these years. I am adopted and little was known about any birth family history. I am married and prior to my diagnosis, our marriage was struggling as she didnt know what to make of me, but now, having read about what having AS is like, she now better understands me and that I am not being difficult on purpose ect. From what I have read thus far here, I think I will like it here on AspiesCentral. Feel free to ask me questions, espicaly if your into my hobbies like I am. Mike
