Hello there. I am a 34 year old mom of an almost 4 year old autistic little boy. We live in the great state of Wisconsin and have been enjoying our summer, for the most part. Navigating life as an autism mom has been challenging and rewarding all at the same time. My son is nonverbal and we haven't found a way to communicate quite yet but he leads us to what he wants most of the time. He will start 4k this year and I am absolutely terrified. He went to an early childhood special ed class this last year, with an iep and for the most part loved going to school. We have been having our own set of issues since being home for the summer. Meltdown after meltdown and despite being taken to do his usually fun outings and activities he still just seems so unsatisfied. Hoping to find some help with others going through the same sort of thing because right now I feel so alone.
