Hello everybody.

Jacob Morrison

Hingle McCringleberry
Hello everyone. I'm Jacob. I'm a 17 year old aspie from Oklahoma. I'm a higher school debater and extemp speaker. I am also a type one diabetic. I have friends but I find them hard to maintain. Very few people know I have Aspergers. The only people that know are my immediate family, my current best friend, and a girl that has a severe kidney disorder that I was trying to make feel better... Most people probably think I'm normal until they get to know me. My friend that knows I have Aspergers said I am always redundant, apathetic, and I say random things all the time... Lol. A lot of people compare me to Sheldon on the Big Bang Theory although I hate science. I'll admit I am a very smart person yet I hate school and my grades are decent. I have a 3.5 GPA as of now. I don't know any other aspies in real life; however, I had a really strong feeling that this girl I was talking to, (and almost dated) had it for various reasons. She was extremely socially awkward, had trouble with eye contact, and seemed to be isolated from everyone else. Either way, she moved... So, anyway, how is everybody today?

Welcome Jacob

I'm doing well, thanks. How are you? I hope you're finding this site to be to your liking. I'm also told that I can say the most random things, and am also sometimes compared to Sheldon (for being oblivious), though I'm happy with who I am :)

I recommend checking out our resources section, for some interesting books, web links, etc. Members are welcome to add to this too: Autism & Asperger's Resources | AspiesCentral.com

Welcome Jacob,

I grew up not knowing I had Aspergers. No big problem, just being different and learning how to succeed, like in school or at work.

My wife is from Oklahoma. My kids were born in Oklahoma City. Yea, they are Okee's like you.

Enjoy the forum!
