Has anyone sat Ados Module 4

I've been administered this assessment, but I wasn't told how it was scored. I assumed that the part about tooth brushing was an assessment of body language and imitation skills. I assumed that the portion in which I was given the random objects and told to create a story based upon them was a test of imaginative ability. I was given a set of pictured cards and told to create a story from them while acting it out; I assume that this was a test of how "natural" it was for me to pair speech and gestures, and whether or not my gestures were typical.

In December 2015, I did the ADOS module 4 for adults. In November 2014, I saw an ADHD specialist to discuss the possibility that I might have ADHD. He diagnosed with ADHD, and to my surprise he said he was pretty sure I was on the autism spectrum and got me an ASD (autism spectrum disorder) assessment. This brings me to the December 2015 ASD assessment including the ADOS test.

My experience of the ADOS test is similar to others. There were two tests involving story telling. The first one was a sequence of pictures without any supporting text. The pictures included frogs flying on lilly pads. The assessor began the story from the first few pictures and I was asked to continue. I really struggled and I found myself describing the pictures rather providing a narrative. When the assessor took over with the narrative, I felt like I'd completely missed the point.

There was another story telling exercise using 5 objects picked at random from a bag. The assessor went first to give an example. So it was my turn and I picked 5 objects from the bag. It took me a couple of minutes to come up with a story, my mind went blank.

I was also asked to describe a picture. It was cartoon map of the USA with the city and state names removed and pictures instead. I remember going into a great detail about this cartoon map. I remember enthusiastically going on and on and on ! The assessor seemed astonished and was impressed with my knowledge.

During the ADOS test, there were questions about my views on marriage, relationships and friendship. My answers were short and I felt uncomfortable. Finally, the assessor asked if I had a plan or dream. In response , I spoke my plans to travel on the Trans Siberian railway. I've had a life long interest in railways and want to travel on this train.

Looking back on the ADOS, I think the assessor was trying to engage me in a small talk. But I didn't pick on this chit chat during the various tests.

As well as the ADOS test, there was an interview to discuss my background. The interviewer referred to my ADHD assessment notes. The ADHD assessment refers to the possibility of autism. After the interview and ADOS test, the assessor called my uncle to discuss my background and childhood. My uncle said this call with the assessor 75 minutes.

I have a follow up appointment in January 2016 to discuss the feedback from this December 2015 assessment. Interestingly in the letter about this appointment, I am seeing a name doctor (rather than the ASD unit), the appointment is for an hour and I can bring a friend or relative.

Feeling an anxious about this appointment.

I just had assessment a week ago and went through the ADOS though I don't know which number. It's difficult to figure out what the tasks are testing. I'd like to know how the follow up went for the OP of this thread.
