Happy Father's Day

I had a wonderful afternoon. My wife, son and daughter bought me a Bluetooth speaker so I can listen to whatever while out in the garden.

They took me on a picnic at a lake. We went swimming. I played catch and practiced hitting a baseball with my daughter so she's ready for little league in a couple weeks. My infant son, as always, was flirting with the little girls my daughter found to play with and they swooned over him.

I don't know which I'm more worried about in teenage years my daughter or him

Happy Father's Day to all the fathers.

That sounds lovely, glad you had such a good day with your family. Father's day makes me think of my dad and grandads and even great grandads a bit, what I know of them. All gone now, but they all had such influence on their families, and were often molded themselves by family and by big cultural ideas, and diseases and wars.

Glad there's some softening and changes in the way our society mostly wants dads to be. And families generally. It will make a difference I believe.

Yes, I think so, regarding your last statement. As more women work outside the home, more guys may have to take on traditionally women's duties/roles in the home or stay at home doing their work there and take on other responsibilities they never had to do before, allowing them to show their feelings more, too. That is the case for me, not because of choice, but necessity. But, I see this as a plus for society as a whole, when some traditions and norms are not or cannot be adhered to, as we cannot assume certain genders are better equipped to handle certain roles, as genetics, conditions, personalities and/or certain other circumstances can come into play.

Happy Fathers day.

I hope you did not had to do social stuff ... like me...

Fortunately I got home in time to do the ironing of my long sleeve shirts.

Time to sleep now. I have good genetics for that. :D

The worst part of having bad memory is just becoming aware that tomorrow is Monday...
