Hair fascination

Is my fascination with hair an Autistic trait? I love to play with hair. I love the softness, and find it comforting. I'll find one of my girlfriend's hairs and I'll run it through my fingers, look at it very closely or simply wave it back and forth in the air. I can run my fingers through her hair for as long as she will let me.
To me, long hair is comforting.

I would say that is most certainly an aspie trait! Your girlfriend is so blessed lol

Not in the same way, but I am obsessed with picking hair. I could spend a whole day, running my hand through my hair and feel such a deep satisfaction when loose hair is in my hand and I actually play around with it and love how a straight strand can kink when you pull it taut and let one end go lol

On my clothes, I often find small clumbs of hair under the arm area and heck it is a wonderful feeling to find it.

In the shower, I have to stop myself from staying in too long, when doing my hair, because I just love how the loose strands come out.

When I see hair on other people, I tend to make a joke of it, because I HAVE to remove it and do not wish to creep the person out lol

So to sum up, yes, so very comforting!

I love to brush Kim's hair, & love the swishing sound it makes. I'll sift for my own loose hairs too. I have a roommate who sheds like a Wookiee, and I find his hairs everywhere!

Run your fingnails down one, drop it on the table, & watch it move, it's very strange!

Have done that and yep, agree! But incredably fascinating. What surprised me was finding out that any hair away from the scalp is dead and so, us with long hair, have dead hair lol

I share something similar. A lot of time, especially when it's someone I'm fond of, I have the desire to run my fingers through their hair and feel the texture. It might be perceived as romantic, but really it's just my weird sign of affection to anyone, really. Especially boys, because a lot of them have the current 'trendy' cut where it tends to swoosh up so I can imagine it would be very run to touch lol. Unfortunately, If i attempted to do that to anyone they'd probably try and run away, and I don't have a boyfriend so I'm stuck with my own hair :( Lol. Luckily, it's really curly (Imagine an old-fashioned doll's ringlets) and especially when it's wet it's really fun to squish. As much as I lament the fact no one would let me play with their hair, many others, especially girls, LOVE to play with my hair haha. Somebody has to be the giver in this cycle, I suppose :P

Kim's hair is long, blonde, & oh, so curly! If I were a hair, I'd be one of hers! Wear those curls with pride! Women spend hundreds to look like that, you & Kim do it naturally!

I love hair as long as it is interesting and fairly clean.

Got my hair cut yesterday and just about had a meltdown. Change sucks, even when I am the one who decides to do it. o_O

But every so often my hair starts feeling dull and sort of dry, and then I know it needs cutting. It feels alive and healthy again after it has been cut.

Kim's hair is worthy of worship, it's so beautiful! I've looked at hair all my life, and there is more beautiful & perfect hair anywhere!

I like how hair seems to change in colour and in tone, depending on the light.
I'm going grey prematurely :( but in some ways I find it fascinating the way the grey sparkles. It looks like I have spider webs in my hair:D

What you said about loose hairs on others, I'm with you there! For someone who's legally blind, I can spot a loose hair a mile away!
