Shhh... no spoilers...Do you mean to guess what happens next in the cartoon? I know what happens. I remember this one well.
But this is just my own attention seeking behaviour1) The rabbit is goaded by the ape, steps out, and cuts the rope on himself.
2) The ape uses the rope to pull the cliffs together, grabs the scissors, and cuts the rabbit out of the storyboard.
3) The ape steps out on the tightrope. The rabbit goes to cut the rope but his scissors have turned to chopsticks.
From far below, the river bed rises to meet the antagonists - but by the time it arrives the rabbit has understood that the ape is really his grandmother.
They all end up sitting together in a large bowl of custard.
