I still have a copy of GTA San Andreas but I hardly ever played it, it's not really my sort of game. Sometimes I'd load a few cheats and then run through part of it as a bit of light entertainment but it just never really grabbed me. I never even looked at any of the others.

I’m going for the popular, classic, “boring” options of San Andreas and Vice City, but those are the ones I played the most and sank the most time into. San Andreas in particular. The big and the small. The map size, all the little Easter eggs, shout outs and references to the local area here, the Bigfoot myth that spawned other myths. Then all the mods for the PC version and all the stuff that was possible with an Action Replay on the PS2 version, including a… certain minigame named after a warm beverage...

I find it is too much of a grind.
I might look at 6, though.

These games are full of hackers, as per usual, so I don't play multiplayer.

Count me out.

But then I was a real victim of car theft, which damn near destroyed me financially early into my adulthood.

I suppose linking to videos of the gameplay here would be a violation of so many rules.
That's one way to get banned

I've also never played one but I've seen videos and I've played Jak 2 which I've always heard compared to GTA. Also red dead redemption 1 but I played that way back on the 360

I used GTA IV to come up with action sequences for writing screenplays. If I couldn't get my creative juices going on my own, I would fire up the game and put my character in a similar setting and created situation (usually doing something to get the cops and swat after me), and I would record what happened to get out of...or whatever fateful ending to the whole thing.

I regret nothing! Haha.
