Hello there.

I'm a middle-aged woman living on the Eastern seaboard. I'm a programmer by trade, a musician by hobby, and my life is otherwise littered with the detritus of temporary enthusiasms.

I believe I am an undiagnosed Aspie. I have often joked (self-deprecating, wry) that I am "high functioning [unspecified]" and have struggled all my life to find a way to fit my eccentricities into something resembling a normal life. Recent interactions and events have made this less of an occasion of dark humor for me, and more of something to take seriously.

I may as well mention here that I am also transgender. My observation is that most trans people are neuroatypical. It's impossible to be sure which is a sequela of what. I don't think it matters.

And I've just spent the last five minutes trying to figure out how to close this, so I think I'll end here.

Welcome aboard! :)
Awesome use of detritus! It's a favorite word of mine :D
Hope you enjoy the site. Best wishes

Hi Morrigan, welcome. Any Correlation to Morrigan of Bioware fame by chance? If so, YAY! I love that character :) (FYI Morrigan is a character in Bioware's Dragon Age Game series.)

Mythology of all kinds, and especially Celtic, Gaelic, Brythonic, Norse, has been a consistent feature of my life. Though like a lot of things I have a very hard time bringing long-term discipline to the study.
