God and AI

Definitely a cautionary tale... something we all need to think about.

We are approaching this reality of what could happen to a society in which only a relative few have "jobs" that give themselves purpose in life. What adaptive political and economic strategies must we go through in this potential future in order for us to live in relative prosperity? (Let us think of the best possible future, for a moment). Will we become more spiritual... finding peace within ourselves, our families... God? Will it free minds to become MORE creative? I am of the mind that there needs to be some balance... some equilibrium between all of the technology that has and will be created and the need for us to be ONE people, living in peace and harmony. That requires some sense of a universal consciousness and connection. We cannot be totally materialistic... science does explain much of the physical world, but it also needs to be balanced with the spiritual one... the one that creates that connectiveness with nature, with ourselves, and with God. Both must exist.

AI... these huge data collection centers... they are a digital facsimile of the available human knowledge... what we know right now. However, there is a greater consciousness out there where ideas are "downloaded" to humans... and we are inspired to create. God may be the consciousness that delivers ideas to certain humans when the time is "right". So, as much as I think we should have some caution as we progress with AI and humanoid robotics... I am also of the mind that these ideas were given to us at a time when it was deemed as necessary.

If the great problems of the world... hunger, war, economic disparities, health care, laboring can possibly be resolved with AI and humanoid robotics... would this be a good thing for all of us? Again... trying to look at this from a "best possible outcome" perspective.
