Getting Lost in Tiny Worlds

More predation.

A spined soldier bug nymph (Podisus maculiventris) with some kind of caterpillar that I haven't identified yet. Check out the tubular mouthpart in the second one. These are unique to the predatory soldier bugs and designed to suck out the nutrients from their prey.

The Jagged Ambush Bug (Phymata americana)

Just under a cm long, but a very capable and patient hunter.
