Future Comic Book Writer

I have a dream, my friends. The dream of becoming a comic writer. I have been inspired by viewing the show Atop The Fourth Wall. I desire to write *funny* parodies and amazing heroes. To plagiarize bad comics in order to make them better. All that good stuff!

My planned contributions to the world of comics:

• A necromantic detective whose abilities also give her insight into the moment(s) of the murder. Loosely based off the series Anita Blake.
• A werepug who is the result of being bitten by their mother's irritable pet after her death.
• A powerful-and-sentient computer 'virus' is given sentience and a body.

One of my dreams was to do artwork for comics! Though I never moved to New York to pursue it...

Heck, if I ever do get started, maybe we can work together somehow.

The second and third ideas are both comedy with drama. The werepug comic parodies the stories of werewolves/werecreatures in general. And the living virus is loosely based off of GIR.

Questella just start where you are get some books on how to do it from Amazon...or research the picture scale requirements sand whatever online...just start doing it!

If I could turn the clock back I would have just started writing...there is no substitute for hard work and practice. I whish I had the safe things never worked out for me....NTs are not all that friendly on hiring us aspies, it really isn't all that "safe" counting on NTs to give us jobs.

Listening to other people on choosing your life is garbage everyone should have the right to ruin their own lives properly!......

Lol I already have all the books. Drawing and comic character sketching was a lot of what I did from kiddie age until after high school. During middle school I started taking web programming and that took up a lot of my time. One big reason I quit drawing and posting was because I got too sick of everybody's f'ing opinions... then I started doing other stuff and eventually started dancing and that took all of my time for many years.

I really wanted to work for Archie on the Action series, specifically Sonic the Hedgehog and Archie is located in New York and I'm in Ohio/Indiana so yeah I wonder if there are even any publishers around the Cincinnati area.

Thanks. Yes. It's done on A3 using ink pens and brushes. The lettering is done ising a computer (also contrast treatment to make white and black)

Champion! I know some of my inks dried out over the years but some may still be liquid. My black def dried out.

Good luck! I wanted to be a comic book writer for a while too. I have probably hundreds of characters designed with horrible drawings lol and basic plots/storylines for them. I haven't done much with them lately though. Depression and stuff got in the way.
