First word

What were people’s first words? Mine was cow and my friends where snow so i’m wondering do autistics have more unusual first words then most people. I was 2 when I first spoke.

Unless someone wrote it down at the time it would be impossible to say reliably for anyone.

I don't know what my first word was... probably "mama" which is Russian for "mother" as it's close to a random baby noise anyway..

Never have heard what my first word was. It was probably mama or dada.

Not even sure I had a first word - no baby book. I can remember thinking I was saying things and getting really frustrated because no one could understand me. I do remember in speech therapy when she was teaching me to say squirrel and I said it perfectly, which surprised her. She said squirrel was the hardest word to say correctly.
But my oldest son who is self diagnosed - his first word was horse, which he said perfectly. Other than that, he was a late talker, too.

I remember my first words. It was a sentence: Merry Christmas, everyone.

I was almost 5.

I didn't use language before that.
