Being trying to lookup an old friend, but not sure on maiden name on Facebook....
Any suggestions
 
If you have a Facebook account yourself, you could
try posting that you're hoping to re-connect with the
old friend, describe a couple things you used to do
together, places you went.

Maybe that would get the attention of people who
also know that person, or even the individual themself.
 
Search by their locations and other details with the advanced search. Look through their pictures to see if you know them.

And even if you find them you might have to contact a relative of theirs if their account hasn't been used. I'm still waiting for a call from my old deskmate, sent her sister my details. I went to her place, the neighbors told me she has moved.
