Fighting the Boredom cycle

Individuals on the spectrum may experience boredom differently due to challenges in engagement and attention. Boredom can dominate when one is unable to find stimulating activities that align with their interests, this could leading to frustration or possible behavioral issues.

For myself, I find I go through cycles (maybe a week at most) of boredom. Where I am unable to find something that interests me. Though I have endless amounts of hobbies and access to so much knowledge at my finger tips. Nothing seems to stimulate my brain in the correct way. Comparable to a sudden food aversion.

I have both ASD (Aspergers) and ADHD. The down fall is I normally would do physical activity to cut the boredom. But I have limitations the past couple years. Due to a IIH caused from a TBI. Which also gives me lingering PCS NFD and decreased movement in my legs from a botched surgery repairing a CSF leak.

Would anyone care to share their own struggles?
Coping mechanisms?
Different tools, media or anything else to stop the cycle?
