It has a very similar meaning to one that I've been told is a Polish Proverb "Not my circus, not my monkeys". The meaning to it though is the same as your pig/farm one. Took me a long time to really understand and live by it but life is better for it."Not my pig, not my farm." Sounds stupid but it really helps me to let go of stuff that isn't my fault and isn't my problem.
