Facial Expressions

Hello! I have a problem with controlling my facial expressions at all times. Any sugestions on how to work on this? it is starting to affect my work....

It's difficult to give accurate advise as I think I'm missing some important pieces about the type of work and particular facial expressions either missing or present.

First, I do not think I have that particular issue with my aspergers, but I know people who do have a similar issue. My mom and partner can often have very angry or upset expressions when they do not intend that...it is sort of their relaxed face expression. I can sometimes annoy them when I have to keep asking if they are upset or angry. I now know it is their normal expression, but it would help if they were a bit more vocal about their feelings or perhaps were more expressive with their body language. I know I'm aspie and don't intuitively get facial expressions, but I've done a lot of research and practice studying psychology and human behavior and can do well with most people, but these two are always a challenge for me.

So, I'd recommend if you have trouble controlling facial expressions, try compensating with vocal tone, body language, etc...I'd recommend studying up on non-verbal communication to get the nuances right, as loud tone can mean very excited or angry...and folded arms can mean back off or just that the person is cold, etc.

hope this was of some help.
