Does anybody else?

Graphin

They're red can duck?
Does anybody else develop a systematic plan of how to eat their next dish, and gets upset if either the dish does not really allow that or it somehow gets changed by for example somebody from the family?

Yes. At home, I plan my own meals so it's not usually an issue, but when I visit my family for example, it can really bother me if they tell me that we are having a Chinese take-away, and I have planned what to order, and that suddenly gets changed to something else. I don't like it when someone suddenly changes the plans, especially if they don't tell me first.

@Graphin
Are you talking about any of these things? >

Wanting to eat foods in a certain order
Wanting to use a particular tool (like spoon or fork)
Wanting to have food arranged a certain way
Wanting food to be in certain container...special plate/bowl/mug

What do family members do/say about you & your food that makes
you unhappy?

When I have a plate full of food, I always eat all of one thing before going to the next. Even if it is just a burger and fries, I always eat all of one before the other. I have always done this and I am not sure why.

I plan step by step linearly for example when i will take or cut a specific thing

Yeah which meal to eat when too.

@tree i'm picky with all of those, and it's not what my family (just an example) says about my food, but what they do with it.

Family would be one of the reasons food suddenly disappears, gets added, or a whole plate gets moved too fast it essentially isn't on the plate the same way it was before.

They don't let you serve yourself.
They put food on your plate for you.
They decide how to arrange your food.

I don't do any of that.

I just hate going for Pub meals where you ask for "No Peas or Salad", and the plate comes back full of Peas and Salad! Can't these minimum wage Waitresses take a hint?!

I really would rather eat by myself than with family! Family members feel like what i eat, how much i eat, how i eat is their business. I cant relax and digest so when i have to eat with family i make a point of eating slowly and have my mind set that im not there to enjoy my meal but to just get through it.
I have a mental plan on how i eat things, especially if its something i really like. Most people wouldnt notice it.
So, yea, me too! Nobody touches my food though, i think that is what the fork is for, lol, poking at hands that reach for my plate!
Im not recommending poking people with a fork, i was just trying to be funny.

I can get quite frustrated when I've planned to eat something and either my husband ate it without telling me or the supermarket doesn't have it in stock anymore.

Also.. my husband I neither cook nor eat together. I can't do it.

I dont plan my bites, but in a burger for example i dont like pickles to overlap each other and i like only a little onion, so i pick off most of that. Tomatoes dont really go on a burger, they are too watery.

Personally tomatoes don't go on anything for me! Unless it is pulverized into a homogenous sauce form...

I like my food in specific locations on my plate, so if a family member served it, most likely it’s in the wrong position.
