I spent the last two days completely engrossed in "The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker". It was something else.

Yes, mainly RPGs and especially JRPGs, one of my favourites recently was The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel (I played the enhanced PC version) and I can't wait for the 2nd version to be released on PC early in the 2018, the story is awesome. I'm 48 years old and even though virtually all JRPG stories are based around teenagers (often at school) I still enjoy them and no-one will tell me I'm too old lol! For a traditional open world RPG I have to say the The Witcher 3 is awesome, but I also enjoyed the first 2 releases in the trilogy, it's a shame they say there will be no Witcher 4, you never know they could change their mind eventually, but even if they do it will certainly be a long wait.

One thing that is in my opinion really "dodgy" about some Japanese games released in Western countries is often characters have lets say very adult story lines and sometimes also show off quite a bit in an adult way. The reason I say it's dodgy is sometimes the characters look of a childlike age and may even seen as school boys / girls wearing uniform. I was quite shocked when I found out the reason why, in Japan the legal age of consent is only 13 years old and to them it's therefore perfectly acceptable to cast a 13 year old in such adult roles, but if an adult looked at a 13 year old in that way in Western counties such as the UK and USA they'd be most certainly classed as a paedophile. I think 13 is much too young, but my point is there's often characters that are clearly portrayed as under the legal age of consent in the country their sold in showing themselves off with compromising adult story lines and I have to wonder why it's allowed? Even in The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel which is a game you'd expect to be least complained about there was a female lesbian character who was portrayed as an older teenager (probably around 17 or 18 as she was a 2nd year student at the Military Academy) that made clear adult remarks about being attracted to a character that was even said to be only 13 in the story (until her age was later revealed they thought she was even younger). Okay it's only Japanese cartoon animation, but to me it's still dicey and even though I really enjoy many JRPGs for the gameplay and story, this side of it makes me feel bad about playing some of them. I'm not into them, but some people also enjoy Japanese visual novels which I understand can sometimes be even worse, yet can still be legally available in places such as Steam.

I have some games that I play on older systems, like the N64, GameCube, Xbox 360, and Wii.

Also got into Steam recently, and have two games. One game is "Tomb Raider," which I had to stop playing, because it got to a part where the character has to sneak around in the dark among a group of people who are enemies, and I have a fear of being seen.

I also do Rocket League, but I don't join the actual game. I've been playing the mid-level training for 183 hours. That's as far as I will go, as I know I'll never be good enough to join a real game. Big fan of Kronovi.

i have an Xbox 360 too,as well as an old PS2.i'm working to get a Nintendo Switch, along with an SNES-themed Nintendo 3DS XL & PS4 (because my uncle should've owned one).

I don't play video games.

Another 9 people so far voted no. I'm not alone!!!

I have always got a good video game going on. Lately I have been playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey. I plan on playing Far Cry New Dawn when it is done downloading.

I do occassionally. I prefer very simple stuff from the 80s, but I can do decent on guitar hero. I also have this little box with 200 no-name games.

I'm more into the little handheld games. I've collected at least 30 of them, and I play them almost every day. Usually before I go to bed.

I love rpg/fantasy, and survival/building games. I really like sims, and have sims 4 right now. It helps teach me the basics of life and socializing. I love that sims do not speak any real language, instead it is just a gibberish language.

I LOVE online multiplayer games, but they are dangerous for me. I can easily spend from dawn to the middle of the night playing them, there by destroying my life.

I love big open world games because I get too distracted reading books nearly never finish them, so I get my stories from gaming.

i play an american-western Grand Theft Auto called Red Dead Redemption.they have things from the wild west where you have the option to bribe witnesses to your crimes or like usual,
them.i also play a 1st person shooter called Farcry where you can throw this item that attracts animals called bait.a word of advice:after the biat has been thrown, run :fearful::fearful::fearful: !

Yeah I'm a gamer.
I play most genres - favorites in (), 4X (Sword of the stars 2), RPGs, Shooters, RTS(Company of heros 2), TBS(see 4X), MMO(FF14 or Eve Online), Sandbox (Eve Online or Rimworld) and one dialog game (VA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action)
when people ask me what I play I usually tell them when I became a gamer I used 5.5 inch floppy disks to boot my operating system - the usual response is "what?" or "what does that mean?"

Commodore64?

Yup! Been gaming since I was about 6 or so with the Nintendo 64. My first very own Game Console was the Original Xbox that I got Xmas of 2003 that came w/ Top Spin 2 and Amped on a single disk that had a game on both sides of the same disk, kind of like some DVDs that later released that had the movie on one side and the "Extras" or "Bonus Features" on the other side. I also got Blinx the Time Sweeper that same Xmas and was absolutely ecstatic to hear it was one of the many Original Xbox Games that'd be released and playable with the OG Xbox Backwards Compatibility Program for the Xbox One.

My first favourite game of all time was Halo 2 which I got for my 9th Bday, which made me fall into the world of Halo. I still love the World to this day despite its flaws. I wasn't allowed to have Xbox Live at the time, so I played the Campaign continuously and also screwed around in Multiplayer with my Brother.

I also play on PC and I don't discriminate people for what they play or use to play on. The whole "Console War" and "Fanboyism" is ridiculous in its entirety; people should just let others enjoy themselves, alas, they always enjoy to get a rise out of others.

Run Down of Consoles I've owned in the Past:

Original Xbox (Lasted until ~ 2008 when it stopped outputting video, was quite sad about that)

Nintendo DS Lite (Lost my temper a bit and snapped it in half when playing Star Wars Rebels Alliance, I didn't actually mean to do it however :( )

Nintendo Gameboy SP (Sold this at a Yard Sale)

Consoles I currently Own:

Xbox 360 Elite (still have it and it still works (just need to fix the Disk Tray as it doesn't open by itself anymore, but I think I know what the culprit is), and it never did get the infamous RRoD since I always had it in an open space. Might try and sell it off as it's just extra weight at this point, or maybe keep it as a memento... should've done the same w/ my Original Xbox if I still has the box for that as well)

Xbox One

Nintendo Switch

Original Nintendo 3DS (Will be invaluable in the years to come since they've been put out of production, so I really hope nothing happens to it otherwise I'm screwed)

I'd like to try and get a PS4 at some point for the exclusives as well.

I'm also going to save up for the new Xbox, "Project Scarlett" which will mark the beginning of the Next Generation (the Ninth Generation to be precise) of Game Consoles and releases Fall 2020.

I'm not what you call a gamer but I do like a handful of games.
I love the Pokemon game series (I completed Moon and White; currently playing Emerald) and do like some mobile gacha games like Love Live SIF and Bandori GBP. I like the Touhou Project franchise as well.

I'm also beginning to dabble into Zelda; I started playing The Wind Waker a month ago and I love it so far. BotW looks so good and I'm interested in trying the upcoming sequel too ^^

I don't care if someone doesn't consider themselves a gamer.
I just don't want them to fall to "Pay to Win" practices as this drives down the value of game production, and is a waste of resources mostly for the person who gets hooked on said game.
I think the Pokemon gameplay loop is pretty good, I enjoyed the early games (haven't played the later ones)

Yes, I'm fond of video games. I just finished A Plague Tale: Innocence and Episode 3 of Life is Strange 2. Both pretty intense stuff (and both about escorting a secretly superpowered younger sibling around, funnily enough).
