My partner loves my spam fried rice, and l found a place nearby that sells musbui to make him smile. He bought it because he had a nasty hospital date. This post reminds me of velveta cheese, the other product my mother would never allow in our house. My parents were foodie purists, so l can make anything from scratch. And my daughter is accomplished cook.

I grew up the same way and cook almost everything from scratch. It's rare for me to buy any kind of "processed food". I do like to buy freshly made tortellini and ravioli made at The Fresh Market store and freeze it for easy dinners when I'm feeling lazy or tired. It's a very upscale store and uses good ingredients. My three kids are all good home cooks, too.

How long does it take you guys to cook a meal including washing the dishes?

That depends on what I'm cooking and how many people are eating. I can whip up burgers and oven fries from scratch within an hour or slow roast a big piece of meat which takes hours. The dishwasher takes care of the dishes and utensils, but we have to handwash pots and pans and a few other things that can't be put in the dishwasher. I do the cooking, and husband does the washing, but I do tend to clean the kitchen, knives, etc. as I go.

Yes. It's not bad to have on occasion.

If it's good enough for Monty Python, it's good enough for me.

You and I must be on the same wavelength, because my brain ALWAYS goes to Monty Python when it goes comes to the topic of SPAM.

If you're trying to make an unbiased poll (which I doubt was your intent), you can't make three choices like that.

My answer: never tried it, because it's not Kosher.

In May of that year, a 12-ounce can was selling for 33 cents in Denton, Maryland.

It was going for 29 cents in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
