... and man, does it explain a lot. Still wrapping my head around it. I thought I just had bad instincts about people. I didn't know that I was working it out consciously all along. I guess I should be grateful I did as well as I have. I still struggle with employment. I'm married, and I have a stepson on his way to college tomorrow.

I'm 31, and just got diagnosed too! It's really weird, all makes sence now.. I was so lost. Welcome, noob here too! >.<

Hey,
47 and had the same experience. It was such an eye opener that I cried. Suddenly my whole life made sense. Now I am grateful everyday that I know.
Good luck, and welcome.

When you find out about that you have autism, suddenly everything clicks into place..."so that's why I..."

Hi! Welcome to Aspies Central.

I understand where you're coming from. I was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome at the age of six but didn't find out I had it until I was 12. At that point, I didn't really understand it but it really began to click by the time I entered high school and it all made sense why I had a hard time communicating my thoughts, feelings, etc. to my peers.

I believe you will definitely enjoy it here as there are so many others who share the same experiences. Feel free to chat with us in the forum threads or in the shoutbox any time you like.
