Seen all of them except Black Christmas and It Happened in the Barn. Very hazy memory of Silent Night, Deadly Night (original 80s version, remake I haven't seen yet).

As a member of people with inborn low self-esteem, I get excited when Finland is mentioned: Rare Exports 😁

Hmm... Couldn't find any reference to It Happened in the Barn. Misremembering There's Something in the Barn, or some really rare flick?

I was misremembering There’s Something in the Barn.

Not a huge fan of Christmas movies. In fact, this year I don't think I watched any of them.

in the past though I quite enjoy Bad Santa or Christmas Vacation.

I joke, being an acquaintance, that I always leave a cigar and a bourbon out on Christmas Eve for Shane Black. His films always get watched again during Christmas. That series (season 1) of Hawkeye on disney+ very, very much came across like he did the whole project, to where I even asked him about it. He had no hand in it at all and was then going to watch it because of the mention and why. So, anyway, that whole series is pretty great (set during the week leading up to Christmas).

For the 2026 holiday season, Any consderation for movies that presents several examples of classic holiday movies: 'It's A Wonderful Life,' 'Miracle on 34th Street,' 'A Charlie Brown Christmas?'

Can such a movie take a "meta approach" e.g., meta-narrative approach to the usual fare of holiday movies - while avoiding the.................usual fare of holiday movies?

I'm working on one such idea, as I have friends that have made the Hallmark films for a few years, now, but they want to flip the script if they can. I only have one concept that might work, but (hints galore) I fear it might be considered a rip off of Diggstown. We'll see.

Not into religious movies, or for that matter movies in general lately, U tube videos on math and science my thing. Watching our neighbours to the south destroy themselves, interesting, just leave us up here alone .
