Computer Time

Iv never really been one to enjoy computers much but its winter now so my workload and time and work as been cut in half, and I just bought my first computer so Iv been playing with it nearly 2 hours a day

How much time do you guys usually spend on your computers a day?

Two hours a day is nothing! :P I spend all day on mine. Today, I have been on the computer for about 8 hours since I woke up at 1:30pm and it's now 10:35pm. The only beaks I have had are for food and toilet. I'll probably still be on the computer for another hour or two as I've nothing else to do. Computers can be a good way to pass the time and communicate with people but they can become very addictive, especially if you have little else to do.

I'm like Calvert: When I have nothing to do, I'm on the computer.

I also find spending two hours a day online to be hardly anything.

It really depends, but I'm usually on quite a lot a day. Back in the day my dad would think that computers equal "fun time" and thought I just played games. I usually hop through Photoshop, write something, look around some forums, play a game for 30 minutes, photoshop some more, watch a movie, work on some music I'm writing... it's probably because I can do pretty much anything with my computer.

Also don't forget to think about the entire deal where one used to have a console, a tv, a radio and (if you're really old) a typewriter, a piano (and a drumkit, another couple of synthesizers etc.)... if I were to have those things all around in my room, I would run out of space. So that's defense to why I am on my computer a lot. Probably due to the flexibility of using a computer I've kinda grew to the idea that I don't need more than probably 2 rooms to actually live in as a "house".

Droopy: I cant do that. If I spend more then 2 and a half hours a day on a computer or watching TV then I get in a really funky and depressing mood lol

King_Oni: Thats actually a really good argument for spending time on your computer. I never thought of it that way.

I can't do more than two hours watching something, if that. That will feel long to me.

But the computer- I'm pretty much on/off it all day, whenever I'm home and I have the time to.
Sometimes I'll take a break and read.

Well, I violated my own rule today. I spent 9 hours watching football. Pre-games, post-games, and of course the actual games :D

And as predicted I feel like trash haha or that may be from all the banana cream pie and pumpkin pie I ate throughout the day. But Im playing through the pain to get on AC lol

2 hours/day is the bare minimum I'll spend, unless of course work tires me out...but it's pretty much a given that most of us aspies are glued to the monitor or whatever else for lengthy periods of time.
