CFL light bulbs

I was wondering if anyone has experienced a loud buzzing sound from being around those compact florescent light bulbs (CFL)?

I know you can't use CFL with dimmer at less if it a CFL bulbs designed for that purpose. Otherwise it could cause a buzzing sounds.

Thank you for the info Penguin. I'm in the process of removing all CFLs from my home and replacing them with LED's. Nobodyelse seems to pick up the buzzing and for me it's as clear as day and night and annoying as hell.

I only use CFL's in fixtures I cannot use Philips Hue bulbs in like the over head fixtures in the kitchen and the office and the bathroom. The rest of my lighting is with the Philips Hue system.

Yes, they do buzz, but since I've got background music on for much of the time, I don't notice it too much.

Not sure of which LED bulbs I got but they sure make a huge differance.

Thanks for this post. I just had lights installed above my pool table and could hear the buzzing but only under one of the lights. My wife and her friends couldn't hear it but I swore it was happening.
