Catholic Faith question and discussion

Hi I have a quick question about Catholicism. I was baptised in a Catholic church as a child. My parents just identified as Christians though. This baptism has stood me good through my life. I went onto later to receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit as a teenager and the same spirit has stayed with me through my walk through my faith to today.

I went to a Catholic school and attended mass as you do to 19. I don’t remember really us praying to the Saints directly. I certainly knew of some like Saint Folly and loved them as well. I learnt about things like victim souls and divine mercy which resonated with me. I still today attend Catholic services in the week in my childhood primary school.

We used to pray to God directly most times at least at school and that is what I remember and had no real issue at school. Later it seemed it to be that many seem to think that Catholics pray to the Saints more than God directly. Today I do not disagree with any Catholicism and I am a Christian and I love much about Judaism. I find the Catholic tradition similar to the Anglican tradition just removing the Pope with the Queens and King. I attend an Anglican church today which is two minutes from my home and the service ticks all my boxes. I see myself as a non demontional Christian today who could worship in any church that followed the Bible.

The book of Revelation shows the saints worshipping God, singing hymns, playing instruments, making requests to Christ to avenge their martyrdom, and offering prayers for the saints on earth (Rev. 4:10, 5:8, 6:9-11).

Why do many people it seems seem to think that Catholics typically pray through intercession and not rarely.

What is this "the same" spirit? ... in Qur'an it says: "Allah can do every-thing". It must be a thing, if it's not a thing God can't do it. We can't talk about that which don't exist, we can just circle around it. ... which is why Muslims circle around Mecca? Planets and electrons are circling.

It's a discussion wheither one should Pray to God directly, or through a mediator. So God heals me when I'm sick, through a Doctor as a medium. I'm Shia Muslim and i mediate/Pray through Imam Ali to God.

Give me one useful sentence I can go out with from this quote.

The book of Revelation shows the saints worshipping God, singing hymns, playing instruments, making requests to Christ to avenge their martyrdom, and offering prayers for the saints on earth (Rev. 4:10, 5:8, 6:9-11).

Christians do music. I know much Guitar, but mostly music theory.

I've always thought of intercession to be a positive practice of preventing one from becoming selfish. That is about the core positive that I concluded from it, anyway. Any stepped approach to award or exalt others just always seemed to come across this way to me. It is used in business, government, military, etc. Some just refer to it as "checks and balances," I guess. I don't "feel" like it was supposed to be a dead set hierarchy kind of a thing. At the same time, I think it's these kinds of things are why a lot of people will view Catholicism as ritualistic or too procedural for their liking.

This is all my opinion, of course.

Thank you both for your thoughts. I will reply in this manner.

Lunarious I do not know what you are really asking me when you wrote what can you take away from a portion of what I wrote.

What I meant by saying this is that I have had the same spirit since a child. To explain further is that of course we are born with our spirit which at birth contains the Spirit of God also. At Baptism this is blessed with the Holy Spirit-It is the same spirit that I have had since childhood which was given to me additionally when I was baptised. What I am saying critically is that as a Christian it doesn't matter so much what church you attend and they are all legitimate as long as they are in keeping with the Bible as it has stayed the same my spiritual makeup despite which type of church I have attended.

How do I know this-I go to healing and wholeness services now in my life where I receive laying of hands another way to blessed by God's spirit and my spirit has actually told me they have been with me since day one and I have seen it in other ways.

Moving on-
Satan has a plan to undermine the church and that is both in physical members, members of the church to cause rancor and division and to also undermine the physical body itself-the building. I think this may be one of Satan's tricks and devices to mislead some people that Catholics are mainly just praying to Saints and never really to God directly. It is a myth I think and not evidenced by my growing up experience. Paul gave note to this as well. Satan plans needs to be uncovered and rejected (Ep 4:14). This is to draw people away from the church, cause distress and lies.

I think Catholics may indeed at crucial critical times do prays of intercessions to Saints-I do not think though this is the default and as regular as it seems to some and it is not required. This is excluding of course prayers to the Blessed Mother Mary which are standard.

Doing some research and looking into it it shows it is a lot of lies and myths this modern conception of Catholicism which was the original church.
