Can someone recommend a good tea for a child with ADHD?

It was my weekend off from work. I was in the kitchen and I tried offering him cold Chamomile, telling him "try some Chamomile". But he wouldn't drink much of it. To get him to drink Chamomile, without his knowledge I put it in his sip-straw thermos bottle. He and I were sitting at the table. He drank half the bottle. He seemed tired. Then he mentioned the word "Chamomile". I announced I was getting up to take a nap. He mimicked my words and said he was taking a nap. There are two beds in the room. I went to my bed. He went to the other bed. He started making lots of noises and flopping around on the bed he was on. Then he got off the bed and left the room. I managed to nap some. I could here the usual loudness going on while his mother supervised him. Didn't seem like the Chamomile worked. I used a single bag and he drank approximately 4 oz. I have been trying two and even three bags of Rooibos on myself with no effect. It does not do anything. Rooibos is not a relaxing tea like it says so on the internet. Should I try a stimulant (caffeine) green tea like Matcha or the black tea Chai?
Maybe you might want to try the Chamomile tea more than once to make sure that it doesn't help. Besides, Chamomile tea has a pleasant fragrance and taste. You could do a search regarding the use of stimulant (caffeine) teas and autistic children before trying them.

Any tea you are giving your son would be something with a mild and gentle effect. If you are more interested in something that acts like medication, please consult with your kid’s doctor.

There is no tea that will fully and immediately “alleviate hyperactivity and impulsivity.” Tea is not that strong, but it can be a part of a daily regimen that includes multiple components that encourage less hyperactivity and impulsivity over time.

If trying to help him sleep is the issue, I take magnesium supplement gummies before bed. It helps me most of the time...

Yes. We used magnesium for a while and it helps him sleep. Now we use "Kids Chillax" an Olly brand supplement. It contains magnesium, L-theanine and lemon balm extract. I just did a brief Google search. L-theanine is found in black tea and green tea. Those teas contain caffeine but the L-theanine that is found in those teas promotes relaxation. The lemon balm extract also "promotes relaxation". He has been sleeping better since we have been giving him Chillax vs Magnesium alone.

Just seeing what tea has to offer.

Never heard of a 5 year old drinking and liking tea. And most "medicinal" teas are quack doctor cures or only have a mild effect on temporary symptoms.
