Can it get worse?

Braces were a bad experience for me, i couldn't eat normal food and i got worse than usual, and that was in my 20s. The metal on the braces would shred the skin inside my cheeks. The teeth moving was painful, and kept me up some nights.

Don't assume you are getting worse because of your age. Consider different environmental factors, like braces is a huge factor. If it changes the way you eat and live, then it might be responsible for your difficulty.

Mmmmm...Thanks...I hope my cheeks will bleed too..*not* My orthodontist has given me wax, so it shouldn't hurt...but I always swallow the wax..XD

May I ask if you find it easy to talk to your folks?
I used to hit myself a lot when I was thirteen.. my parents didn't understand, but I do now and I'm really fine

I held a huge python in a reptile park.. it was twice as long as me
Your mom seems nice and I think your parents really want to understand and help out, I know I always do with my kids.. and they can't always find the right words either
So don't give up, keep trying cos they're listening

Hi, I'm a little too old to know where teens can chat safely, but I would like to say that we, the staff, have been keeping an eye on Grace whilst she is logged in. I'd like to think she is safe here and the older members have been offering advice where necessary.

Another young teen girl and her mom have been trying to start a Facebook group for teen girls with ASDs. See this post on Emma's blog:

Calling All Autistic Teen Girls ~ By Emma | Emma's Hope Book

The group is by invite only, to keep it safe. To get on the invite list, reply at the bottom of the blog page with a little about yourself.

The idea is to allow girls with ASDs to chat about things that matter to them, without interference from scary people. And for the record, the folks on AC have always seemed quite reputable and eager to help.
